A sales adoption planning template is a worksheet for planning how a new tool, workflow, or AI rollout will get picked up by your sales team.

It gives you one place to capture the original request, bring the right people in early, check the value for reps and leadership, and report the impact once it’s live.

Plan your next rollout with sales from day one, so the tools you build actually get used.

Who is it for?

It’s for RevOps teams building or rolling out tools for sales, especially small teams supporting several segments or regions with different goals. It’s also useful if you’re under pressure to switch on AI connectors to your CRM and GTM tools and want your data and costs sorted first.

What’s inside the template?

The worksheet has six sections that follow a rollout from first request to reporting:

  1. Start from the request
  2. Get the right people in the room
  3. Check value for reps and for leadership
  4. Co-design and ship quick wins
  5. Prepare the data and costs before launch
  6. Report the so what

How to use the template

Fill in section one before you build anything. Write down what was asked for in the requester’s own words, then check whether the data already exists, because delivering what the team asked for first is what earns you room to add more later.

Then name a contributor for every affected segment or region and answer the value questions for reps and leadership. If you can’t say what a rep stops doing by hand or which leadership goal the rollout moves, pause the build. Once you’re clear, ship it in quick wins and agree on data owners and a cost ceiling before launch.

Use section six to report short commentary: the main point, the data behind it, and your next step. Come back to the worksheet at each milestone, and use the final checklist to track whether the rollout has earned trust with reps and your exec sponsor.
